Poor Service delivery

My decoder had not been able to connect to any channels and flashed error code 811, after being on hold with a call centre for a mere 30 minutes (lucky me!) i was told the unit needs replacing or repairing. So i called my local service provider and was told "Sorry no units and no idea when we will have any! ". All the furniture stores locally gave me the same response and that i will have to purchase an entire package including dish. A repair would cost me more in fuel and time and effort than an entire unit including dish and installation as the nearest repair centre is over 80km away, which also requires a long wait. i refuse to be suckered into purchasing a complete new package just because of a software error. Please tell me when can i get a new decoder?
