So we went to watch Oz, and were greeted with half the movie being displayed on the screen. It is really off-putting to have to watch a movie like that. It's like the staff just sets the film running and doesn't even stay to make sure it is displaying properly.
In addition there were other patrons making a of a noise, and really just being disruptive. There were no staff present to do anything about it. Is it really my responsibility as the movie-goer to remove myself from the cinema to request assistance for everything?
Please explain to me how seeing it on "the [half-sized] big screen" is worth my while? When I buy the DVD, I can watch the film as many times as I like, in full aspect ratio, with only a select audience, and let's not even get into the quality of the seating. It's experiences like this, the ones were I have to come out and tell people just to do their jobs properly, that are driving me away from the cinema. Either get it together or watch it fall apart.
