Account in arrear for not using it

Good day

My decoder was faulty last year end of July, I phoned multichoice and was told that I need to take my decoder for a screen test, which I did. I was then told that decoder is broken and that I need to buy a new one or send it for repairs. Due to my financial condition I couldn't do one or the other. Early this month I went to our branch which is very far from where I'm (walking distance) and took my decoder for repair. A few days back I received my decoder and found that I have problems with my LNB cable and need to contact the call center. Yesterday I phoned 0112892222 spoke to a lady called Lerato and she told me I owed R670.61 on my account. Angry I asked her how is it possible cause on month end July last year I've paid the following months subscription which we never viewed, how is that possible? She gave me a very confused explanation than I dropped the phone. Today I've received 2 sms's one with balanc R22.67 and the other one with R7.94 I phoned them again to query and was told by Thando who said he doesn't know why sms's went out. I'm very confused thinking Ive been taking for a ride.
