Multichoice
Electronic TV Guide

I lost full functionality of my Dstv electronic movie guide over weekends (Friday till Sunday) a few months ago. A MultiChoice employee informed me it was to get customers with the old dual view decoders to upgrade to new PVR decoders. After complaining to DSTV my TV Guide was returned to full functionality for the following months. Two weeks ago the problem started again. Since it's the start of the festive season MultiChoice obviously wants users of old decoders to upgrade. After calling DSTV for two weekends in a row, the call centre staff treated me like an by trying to get me to upgrade my decoder instead of resolving my complaint. The prerogative to upgrade is mine and mine alone. I do not expect MultiChoice to resort to underhanded tactics by trying to force me into upgrading my decoder. On Friday a supervisor named Clint, promised to call me back and I'm still waiting. My problem has still not been resolved. Since I'm not about to upgrade to a new PVR decoder any time soon it would serve MultiChoice well to return my decoder to full functionality 24/7. I'm not going to take this lying down until I get the service I deserve as a paying premium subscriber.
