On Sunday 27 January I went with my boyfriend to Ster Kinekor cinema nouveau to watch The Perks of Being a Wallfolower at 8pm. The self-service machines were down so we waited in line. When we finally got to the front the lady booked our tickets and then told us it was cash only as the system was down. Could they not have put a sign up? She told us we'd have to pay R85 in total for 1 normal ticket and 1 with discovery vitality. We asked where the ATM was, she waved her hand in a general direction. After asking a guard we found the ATM. We went back to pay, after waiting for her to finish her conversation with her colleague, she asked me how much I had to pay again, I told her R85. She said I should've and said R50, and then sniggered as if I were stupid not thinking of lying. Is that how you appreciate honest customers? Her attitude was well below what I expected. I do not need anyone to call me, I just wanted you to be aware of this experience. I will continue to go to that cinema and hopefully won't encounter this attitude again.
