We live in Centurion but go to Ster Kinekor Brooklyn nearly every weekend to see a film. We always book on-line. The past few times we have been there we have had broken seat backs in different cinemas, a/c not working and a broken seat in the same cinema. Last Sunday we booked on-line tickets to go and see The Rush but when we arrived at the cinema we were informed that there was a problem with the projector and the screening would not take place. They couldn't say whether the later screening would take place either and gave us free tickets. Unfortunately you cannot use free tickets to book seats on-line as we like to secure our seats before driving to the cinema. When you book on-line you have no idea which seats are broken. Many of the love seats also seem to be broken as they dip towards the middle. In addition, why don't they notify ticket holders beforehand if a film has been cancelled so that we don't waste petrol driving from Centurion (you add your e-mail address when doing an on-line booking). I really think the cinema needs to be refurbished and they need to post broken seat details on the on-line booking system so that these seats cannot be booked.
