DSTV falls short in the customer care dept

At approximately 14:30 today I lodged a call with DSTV to query my public channels that need to be re-activated. After holding on forever, an agent by the name of Louis took my call. I was appalled by the lack of etiquette and knowledge that the agent displayed. I had to repeatedly explain my problem whereby he just remained silent without me even knowing if he understood what I was saying. I was told that his system was slow and eventually given another number to call (021-5551206). What ignorance... This number belongs to a company called Guard TV. The lady that answered, explained that I was not the first customer to call through as DSTV was giving her number to all their clients. It is a disgrace that a company of your scale employs agents with such poor knowledge that your clients remain unassisted and in addition are provided with false information. Pathetic!
