On very frequent intervals my PVR stops working. In ALL cases new movies do not load onto Box Office and On Demand does not update. Currently (as is mostly the case) I have 5 movies on box office and 3 shows on On Demand. Generally shows that I set to record does not record and often only two lines appear on the information bar (which is supposed to show 3 lines).
Over the past year I have made numerous calls to the DSTV call centre wrt this issue. Everytime I am requested to check the signal on tuner 1 and 2 which are always at 100% or 98% for signal strength and quality. Based on this the call centre ensures me that the issue is not with my dish.
During 2012 I took my decoder to the DSTV centre in Randburg where technical checks were performed. This year during March I insisted on buying a new decoder which is now also failing to provide me with the service I am paying for.
If DSTV is not coming back to me on this matter with a lasting solution I will be forced to cancel my DSTV subscription entirely as I am not able to view programs when it shows which means if it doesn't record I get no benefit from my subscription.
