My wallet was at Ster-Kinekor "Mall @ Carnival" and with it R1000 cash, Bank Cards, Gift Vouchers to the Value of R600.00 and others. My husband was sitting on my right and my handbag was on the chair to my left extremely close to me. At the end of the movie we realised that my handbag had been cut up with a Stanley Knife or Pocket Knife and my wallet had been.
We spoke to Sterkinekor staff including the manager who did not seem qualified to assist with problems. She requested my contact details and promised to call back but nothing has come out of it. I requested the surveillance cameras inside the cinema to be viewed but the manager informed me that the surveillance cameras inside the cinema were not working - unacceptable.
I sent a big email to Ster-Kinekor and all I received was a call from a "manager" apologizing. An apology goes a long way, thank you, but what I want to know is what is being put in place to assure the security of your customers regarding surveillance cameras and security?
