I had a six month lease with Lyall Webber Properties in that period I was given notice to vacate more than once because of dog faeces were not pickup daily & payment not received (my fault I changed banks and copied details incorrectly) I left home app 5:30 & arrived home 17:00-17:30 Mon-Fri yet the agent took photos between those times not after I had arrived home. Upon moving into the unit they would paint, fix chips in the walls, mend floor tiles and fix the toilet seats onto the toilets, repair the garden gate as it had come away from the wall non of this was done. Now they wont pay my deposit of R4000 back as I never gave written notice!! Notice was given in writing via email 21/08/2012 12/09/2012 16/11/2012. I waited 10 days before an inspection of sorts could be carried out. The agent wont even talk to me!!
