After 8 month of using the pool cleaner MX8 the rubber on both rails was coming off and after phoning, no reply, and writing to Zodiac I was told that this problem is not part of the standard warranty and I must buy a replacement of rubbers. What appears to be a design problem as the unit has a 2 year warranty but only lasts for 8 month under normal use of and therefore I fail to understand this for the exclusion of rubbers. The standard warranty stipulates to repair or replace defective parts and in my opinion the rubbers are not fit for purpose to last for the duration of the warranty and are therefore defective. It appears that Zodiac has not confidence in their product to also include normal wear & tear for the items which drive the unit and this warranty is rather one sided. I would like to know how many other user experienced this problem.
