No power for a week

We got home Sunday afternoon and the power was out, our neighbour told us it was off since Saterday. I went to the municipality to hear what was going on. And they said a pole broke and they do not have it in stock they have to wait for stock. We would be without power for a week! What about our food in the freezer? How do you take a bath? How do you prepare food? This is totally unacceptable! Please help pete
