1 get paid on the last working day of the month and my salary reflects the next day.
My Council account is due on the 2nd of every month.
the day my salary clears the 1st thing I do is to pay my council account. at worst this is on the 1st of the month,
The council captures this on the next day via thier acounting system.
the external contractor E-siyakhokha that was awarded the Municipal tender to run the online billing system has a flaw in the way they collect data for invoice run on the 5th.
They collect data in the early hours of the 2nd every month. IE before close of business on due date.
This means that the invoice generated on the 5th carries last months balance forward.
This is shocking and an epic fail that causes shock on a regular basis and I am forced to contact the council to confirmed that they got my EFT.!
