My drivers license was with my wallet so I decided to get a new one, as well as get a temp. I did this on 13 July 2013, which is not the problem here. I am in the process of buying a new car and the ONLY thing that is holding everything up, is my drivers license. I phoned the department last week and expressed this to them, very nicely and they informed me that my card was there, it was just in a box and needed to be unpacked. I called them today to find out how far they were and they informed me that it is still in a box packed away. I asked them if there is no way that it will be unpacked this week, and they said 'no'. So, next week when I call again, I expect to hear the same, stupid, nonsense, lame and lazy response as always.
I think it's absolutely shocking how government departments oversee the need for good customer care and support, but demand it when they're on the other side of the fence. We pay your salaries - stop being so lazy and work for it.
