Inflated water billing - trebled payment amounts

As a consistent paying resident in the City of Johannesburg (Midrand) over the past decade or so, I am totally shocked & appalled especially at my water bill. After several months of estimate readings and after constant pleas to look into my trebling bill (with no conceivable extra usage noted), a changed meter was installed only to worsen the bill readings. Much to my shock, the stress induced bills caused many a sleepless night, with insurmountable amounts reflected for a residential property like ours. I have made several countless visits to the Municipality Offices in Midrand since I reside in Noordwyk, (which amounts to hours of waiting in queues) which amounts to vain promises to look into the matter with a follow-up site visit / inspection. After being told that I should come through for an appointment at a designated date/time and that I can definitely expect a site visit / investigation on a certain day, I am still left with no follow-up or reasonable attempt to resolve my crisis situation. The increased billing costs have caused a major stress factor in terms of budget. I am also still awaiting a promised pre-paid metre for electricity after an application
