Rude customer service - bad store manager

Hi, on 4 October 2023 I went to Pep Cell Busy Corner to collect a Paxi parcel. I then forgot my ID as it was not handed back to me by the cashier. Fast forward, my wife visited the store and she was asked if she knew me, because our surnames are the same, to which she confirmed and she was told that my ID had been destroyed. Well, out of curiosity, I visited the store and asked to see the manager, she agreed that Pep stores destroys IDs interms of POPI act, to which I asked her to furnish me with such a policy, she then locked herself in the office/store room and never came back, this can be seen on CCTVs.

I then received a call from Chantel who when I asked her why my ID was destroyed instead of being taken to SAPS, she then started shouting at me and hanged up (she is very rude and subtle racist that one). I then wrote to Pep on twitter and facebook. Facebook team confirmed that indeed pep destroys IDs, interms of POPI, I also asked them to furnish me with poof, they kept quiet. I then started sending emails, to which the social media team changed the tune to say that the store has never seen me or my ID document, and that I did not leave it behind.

I would like to ask for a CCTV of the store as at 4 October 2023, and I also want to lodge a formal complaint for the entire staff at Pep Cell for lying and the manager as well as Chantel. Also, please furnish me with a policy that says you can destroy our properties. There is a Pick n Pay and Spar closer to that pep Cell, those stores put the lost items on the doors for public to see, is pepcell so special that they take such decisions to destroy?

I want apology in writing and a replacement of that ID including the resources I wasted travelling to that store, the data and airtime I spent speaking to your senseless social media manager and to formally lodge a case of dishonest.
Well, I have tried to call your call centre and they respond and hang up.

You may advise when I can collect the CCTV footage to prove that you have hired a bunch of a liar of a manager and area manager or whoever that racist chantel is. We must get to the bottom of this because destroying people's IDs without their consent is illegal in South Africa unless if you can prove me otherwise. I will await your call.
