If you install a PRIVATE pre-paid meter system in your block, you may be at risk. Our supplier, [URL Removed] (local Company called Enbaya PrePaid Meters CC) has an administrative function that allows someone to deduct any amount of money that he/she desires from your electricity meter. Imagine someone deducting R4000 a month from your meter! It is happening to me as we speak. I have no control of these deductions and Enbaya will do nothing to stop it. NERSA wrote to me stating that this practice is illegal but it has not stopped Enbaya from facilitating the FRA*D. Beware. I want to pull my prepaid meters out and replace them with municipal meters but the person affecting the FR*UD is the one who will not allow us to do this. We are. Don't go private. Go for a private pre-paid meter.
