Biddulphs relocated my furniture from Joburg to Cape. All my goods was in storage for 3 months, due to taking transfer of my new house. in the first week in February they brought all the furniture and goods to my house. all the glass was broken, Hi-fi speakers (R 6, 500.00@ )broken, 5 boxes missing, ladders missing, center table broken, fridge all dented, bar counter broken and chipped, all my tool boxes opened and tools taken. a R 13, 000 Denon Amplifier gone, Camping Equipment taken. For the 3 months the furniture and goods that was in storage we paid storage fees. When management was called out to investigate, they said action will be taken as this is unacceptable, and people will pay for this. We waited 2 weeks for management to come back to us, but they did not, we phoned them back, and they said for all our worries and inconvenience they will pay R 2, 800.00 back to us. We had to pay R 26, 000 for the transport and over 3, 000 rands a month on storage. Surely a reputable company would not rip there clients off. What do they think of the public using the transport business, and when things go wrong they offer a person a penny after spending tens of thousands. Are we idoits???
