Saturday 8th October we shopped at Checkers Sandton. When proceeding to leave the store and without even passing through the security, I watched one Tshepo Moloi from Asset Management Services, decide to stop my son to query his shopping. He was carrying a Woolworths Shopping bag which we had used for the Checkers shopping as well as a Checkers bag. I watched himindicate to the other guy I'm going to check on him which he did for no apparent reason. We took him to the front manager Koketso Mogale who didn't do much or even question the security guard but still proceeded to check the contents of the shopping bags. A very pathetic apology given and asked why she didn't deal with the security guard.
How dare your store workers target someone for no reason and not even apologise for treating us like criminals. Why don't staff get taught how to do their jobs properly and not target innocent shoppers!!!
We often shop at Sandton Checkers but very much doubt that will ever happen again, not that any of you would care - we usually shop at Checkers Rosebank and have never experienced such horrible and degrading treatment. Train your staff please. Barbara Lewis - [email protected]
