Car serviced on 20 000km, and all reported in good condition, incl brakes. On 23 000km a noise from the brakes forced me to visit the dealership, to inform me brake pads worned out totally damaged the front disks by overheating.
As an Mechanical engineer, surely at 20 000 km service it should have been picked up.
I am told no stock of pads at dealership and disks only in Jhb. Had to wait 3 days and weekend for parts, and after the wait were never informed of date to bring the car in for replacement parts, only for me to phone and also had to wait for a call back after the dealer had to follow up on the parts. Then got told I had to wait 21 days!!!
In the meantime have to drive with 2nd hand pads with blue overheated disk posing great danger of failure.
Have informed the local papers and Carte Blance also busy with primedia to withdraw further radio advertising and in process of contacting SABC.
With or without replacemnt parts, my Kia is up for sale, and good luck to the new owner.
