As stated on a previous complaint, my Steed 5 2.5TCi had a catastrophic engine failure on 19/11/2012. with 52000km on. This was after I reported a faulty turbo on previous services, which was never replaced due to not being able to lodge a warranty claim, no stock, etc. The engine has so far been replaced with a recon unit, turbo has been replaced (FINALLY) but probably recon as well. During this time, the ECU has been replaced, and the transponder unit. I also lodged a complaint about the propshaft centre bearing which is noisy. I was phoned on Monday and told my vehicle was ready. BUT police clearance has not been done, and the propshaft centre bearing has not been replaced. The dealer didn't know they have to do police clearance? PLEASE. How many customers are driving with illegal vehicles, having had engines replaced? If they drive cross border, there is a good chance they will get locked up. How long will the incompetence go on?
And you are pushing to change the brand's image? With THIS level of service, I seriously doubt it.
Added to this, apparently the ECU is changed to limit the output of the engine so it doesn't blow up again. It will go back again and again till sorted.
