It is totally unacceptable & utterly mind-blowing that after a recent revamp of the movie houses some of them are still not wheelchair friendly. It's officially 2014, surely wheelchair friendly movie theaters should be a norm by now!
It's ridiculous that those in wheelchairs should be excluded from watching the latest box office movie because no provision has been made to remove one seat in the movie house to fit a wheelchair, and who says those in wheelchairs want to sit alone at the back of the moving house because one or two seats haven't been reserved for the spouse / family member next to the wheelchair seat!?! These are things that should be the norm by now.
Ster Kinekor have made some nice improvements in recent years but Nu Metro seem to be behind. It's simple really; at minimum keep one seat open for those in a wheelchair and keep the seat next to that reserved for the wife/husband/friend. Imagine going to the movie house with your wife/husband and then not sitting next to them, it doesn't work like that. Open your eyes Nu metro, this is the real world!
Something needs to be done & whoever is responsible for designing the layout should be fired for not doing his job.
