On the 27th September 2013, I went to MTN Zakhele offices in Braamfontein to report that my husband who onwed MTN shares has passed on and I would like to have the shares transfered to my name. I was asked to complete the 'Securities Transfer Form/Agreement of Sale' which was then signed and stamped by MTN. I was told that I will be contacted again once the transfer is done but nobody contacted me. When I phone MTN I'm always told that the shares has not been transfered yet and that a consultant will call me back but no one ever phones me. At some point I was told to complete the change of details form and email them. After emailing them I phoned to check if they were received but I was informed that the person who is handling my query has resigned and that another consultant will call me but 'till today no one has called me. It's like waiting for 'dear life'. My husband and I were married in community of property and I was his beneficiary. I keep wondering whether someone at MTN took advatage of me being a widow and transfered the shares to his name. Why can't they find the forms that I handed in personally and why do they never call me back as they promise.
