I have been diligently paying my TV License since 2004 on my one account number. Recently, I have received a statement for a second account indicating an amount of R5513-40 outstanding (the last decade I have only been receiving correspondence on the first account so this caught me by surprise). It turns out two accounts are loaded against my ID number even though I am one person and need only one license. I can proof payment since 2004, and the second account covers the same period during which I have fully paid up the first account This is clearly a double billing error. However, phone calls, emails and an affidavit later, and SABC is not giving this any attention, or even acknowledging the issue as raised.
