I bought a biltong maker on 16/10/2013 which ceased operating on 26/11/2013 whilst only in the process of making my second batch of biltong. Not bad for a piece of equipment with a 2 year guarantee.
Whilst looking at the lid and at the box when packing to return to shop I noticed "Manufactured in South Africa" signs on box but alas the label on the fan which had stopped working reads ' Made in China". i am sure that is another country completely and totally misleading the public who think that they are supporting their own land but alas not at all. And who knows where the perspex parts come from in this case.
I have just received the replacement and instead of a silent fan (as in computers) this one whistles like a finch caught in a spider web.
