Refusal to refund a automatically renewed purchase

I purchased a Playstation Plus Network suscription a year a go and did not realise the default setting on the account is that once the subscription expires it will automatically renew.

The service automatically renewed without notifying me before hand. I only received a email after the subscription has automatically renewed and money was already deducted.

I can no longer use the service as my Playstation is broken

I contacted Sony to refund me which they were willing to. However as Ster Kinekor has is the reseller of Playstation products in South Africa they do not have access to my account and cant refund me. They directed me to Ster Kinekor. Partserve handles all Playstation related issues on behalf of Ster Kinekor.

I have requested the refund from them. However they are refusing to refund me showing that the terms of the service i agreed to states that the subscription will be automatically renewed.

However as per the consumer protection act, there is a cooling of period of 7 days after any online purchase. The subscription renewed itself less than 7days ago and I wish to cancel this new agreement we have enter into. I am awaiting there further response.
