I have had nothing but bad experiences with the HPCSA. In Feb this year, when I went to write my registered counsellor board exam in Cape Town, we were made to wait an hour before we started to accommodate for people who were late. There were people who were there on time who complained that they were not able to wait the extra hour before writing as they had work and meetings that they had to get back for. They were told that that was too bad and they would have wait to write at the next designated date, which was only in June. Extremely unfair, as we were there ON TIME. When we eventually did get to write the exam, the standard of the paper was unbelievable. There were multiple spelling and formatting errors throughout the paper, some so bad that they changed the meaning of the question, making some questions ambiguous and impossible to answer. I have now been waiting nearly 2 months for my registration after sending my registration fee and notarized documents. I was told there was a mail "backup". It is extremely unfair as I am relying financially on that registration to come through and cannot afford to wait another 2 months. I cannot believe how the HPCSA operates!
