I have an 86 year old Mother who has a stomach problem. She needs to bathe. She needs clean bedding. She needs water to help with dehydration.
Guess what? It turns out that (according to newsbroadcasts) Eskom - in its wisdom - decided to cut the power to Pump Stations on the East Rand.
We have been without water since 07:00 this morning. And will be for an undisclosed period.
Now, as I understand the "Helpline" from the Ekulurheni Municipality, they are saying that this has effected places as far South as Nigel. As well as the larger part of Benoni!
Nice darts, Boys! I wonder what this is going to do to the local Health Services with the resultant lack of general hygiene facilities? Or did this not cross your minds?
Is there anyway to have a good go at the Wallies that are in charge of what used to be a highly run and functional Utility Company?
