Recently our Staffordshire Terrier decided to devour the sheath of my boy's Bear Grylles knife. He was obviously heartbroken as he bought the knife with loot that he earned by working for it.
Enquiries at local dealers led to no joy. They were all adamant that then sheath cannot be purchased separately. It seems that, the moment a customer request requires some "out of the conventional everyday routine" box thinking, most counter salespeople simply deem it "impossible".
So I determined that the distributors of Gerber products in S.A. is Liteoptec. [URL Removed] I got hold of Tymon Baleas there, explained the situation and he requested that I mail him the damaged item.
To cut a long story short, they replaced the sheath with a new one at no cost. I could hardly believe it.
I think one can safely purchase any product from their portfolio, as Liteoptec most certainly will back it up.
