On 17 May 2013 I realised that there was an additional charge added to my MTN statement, with the line item merely stating " Content Charge", since Janaury 2013. The amounts that have been billed and collected by MTN, but for which MTN takes no responsibiliy nor can provide any details for, was in favour of a company MTN has identified as "Smartcall Technology Solutions. The amounts that MTN has collected on behalf of this company equals R 2058.54, and we are expecting our May bill this week, which will no doubt also contain a "service charge" for a service I did not subscribed to, and have neither received.

MTN denies any liability, and their staff have been issued with a generic response to this query, and they are extremely quick and eager to furnish you with Smartcall Technologies's contact details. Smartcall could not provide ANY information upon request. I have lodged a formal request to Smartcall (Ref. Number #4537099) via the MTN call centre, and in the form of an email send by the MTN Store Supervisor Tygervalley, Suzette Germishuys whereby:
- I request to cancel this service
-Be furnished with proof of when and how I subscribed to this service
-I demand a refund
