I returned a Pirelli tyre to the Supaquick branch in Lambton on the 21st Feb 2013. The tyre had a cracked through sidewall which happened as I was driving. After several e-mails to Kevin Green from Supaquick as well as Pradesh Pillay and Jacques van der Nest from Pirelli I got no joy. Kevin Green from Supaquick tried to get answers but it seems to be a no care attitude from Pirelli.
Eventually after starting to threat I got a report from Pradesh on the 30th of April stating it is not a valid claim as the tyre was damaged by an impact on the sidewall. I have not had any impact on the sidewall and have photos of the tyre where there is no sign of a impact.
I get the feeling that this tyre was not properly inspected by Pirelli and that I was just sent a rushed report to get me of their backs. My biggest gripe is the difficulty I had to get any form of answer from Pirelli.
With this kind of service from Pirelli I will not recommend Pirelli to any person, rather the opposite!
