I received an email from MMt on the 12th De 2012 saying that I owe SABC money for a TV licence. I requested detail via emai, l because I thought it was a HOAX, since I have been out of the country for a number of years & don't own a tv in South Africa. I do run a business though in SA & when the business applied for finance this week, we were told that I have a trace alert on my name. I freaked out because its sounds as thought I have a criminal record & this information was passed onto my staff. this is very damaging for the business, not to mention my reputation. I called the call centre today who were not helpful at all & just demanded that I pay. It imperative that this ilegal trace be removed IMMEDIATELY, to avoid any futher damage to my business or reputation. Coulod someone explain what this TRACE is all about & why is MMt allowed to do this?? Thing is, if I owed SABC money & they emailed me & I have responded... why should they be allowed to do this? TI am blowing Dragon fire at the moment so its best someone contact me ASAP!!!
