5 years later after the account was settled

I used to have an i Burst account that was settled in full years ago. I have just received an SMS saying i have 48 hours to pay. Every year or two I get a new law firm trying to collect on behalf of i burst. and every time i forward a screenshot from my internet banking showing the final payment was made. This time when trying to call Shapiro Shaik Defries & Associates I am put onto a waiting list and have to wait on average 20-30 minutes on the phone to speak to a consultant. Its amazing that we live in a country were these vultures are allowed to harass and threaten us with blacklisting even when they do not have a clue of the account history.
How do i protect myself from this situation, what can i do now?
Beware anyone that had an i burst account previously. Their accounts department was a joke, that's why they nearly went bust and now the people that supported them from the start are getting punished.
