I have in February this year received telephone calls, texed messages, and e-mail messages from a company called V V M concerning alleged outstanding debt at Edcon. When I inquired about the supposed debt they could / would not furnish me with any details about the alleged debt. The only date they could provide me with was the 10th June 1983 - the date that I was supposed to have opened the account - thirty years ago. The only store I had an account with was Edgars more than twenty years ago. I have not had any account with any institution by the name of Edcon, V V M or Edgars for more than twenty years. V.V.M keep on harassing me, insisting that I should register on their web site to resolve the issue. I take strong exception to the harassment and the fact that they are trying to force me to place my personal details on their web - site. This against the back ground that they could not provide me any with any details about the alleged debt incurred more than thirty years ago.
