I have received received an SMS from Norman Bissett & Assoc regarding a JET account. I have never had a JET account in my life - thus I contacted JET's customer services who confirmed that they have "Pre-approved" me for an account which I was never informed about! This account was never used. They assume that Norman Bissett has the wrong cell number on their database. JET is not able to do anything about the matter. I tried phoning Norman Bissett but had to hold on for a consultant. I am not prepared to do that - as it is likely to be a very expensive call. I then checked on HelloPeter and I see that this seems to be a common problem where the onus is on the person who is being "spammed" to contact Norman Bissett & Assoc and usually they are not successful in having their cell number removed from the database until they post a complaint on HelloPeter. I would like this company to remove my cell number from their database as soon as possible. I notice with an earlier complaint that the supplier listed the complainant's cell number on HelloPeter - please do not list my cell phone number in your response - as it would be a violation of my privacy.
