I purchased a 50% discount on sunglasses for a company Sunglasses Central in January through Cityslicker.
I then purchased the sunglasses and a few days later received confirmation on February 12, also stating that delivery would be within 14-21 days. One month later I followed up as I had not heard anything and was told it would be a further 2 weeks. 2 weeks after the postponed delivery date I followed up specifically asking to speak to a manager. The manager promptly told me that he doesn't know why delivery has taken so long as they have stock. 2 days after that I asked for an update and he then tells me the product has been discontinued and he will refund me.
This is completely against the CPA. To have taken money for a product and two months later, to tell a client it is out of stock is illegal. If a discount website like Cityslicker advertise the services of a company it is their responsibility to check the validity of said company. I would not have dealt with SunglassCentral without CitySlicker advertising their products and then purchased a voucher for the company. I want the glasses I ordered to be delivered to me like I paid for months ago within the week.
