Part 1 -15 Oct 2013: Firstly I was contacted in March 2013 by Coralie with a job offer to do her blog on which I agreed to do. With a promise of a salary and contract that was to follow in April. In April she asked me to post comments on this post as she claimed that the negative feedback and comments on this post was fictitious and lies. I then posted various comments to boost her image, I posted as the following people:
H&M Events (which is my legitimate business)
Maryke Botha (My maiden surname)
Rykie Engelbrecht (my married surname and the name my family calls me)
Manda Jordaan (my mothers name)
Mia-Lee Bosch (does not exist)
Lelanie van Rooyen (does not exist)
Anika Foxon (does not exist)
Wiltje Viljoen (does not exist)
Maxine Maria Magdelena (does not exist)
And then she also had me inbox people on this post to find out who they were and get their info posing as the new owners (also a lie).
Since my job offer, asking me to post things etc.
She has promised me payment and contract.
Her excuses for the past 7 month why I haven't received either is the following:
Money was not cleared by SARS
Bank put a hold on it
Digit in my account number is wrong
Then the money is loose then it isn't
Then somebody made payments on her account and took all her money and she needs to reverse it.
Contract is ready then not, then she will send someone with it, then I must fetch it and then she will mail it. (none of which ever happened)
She keeps on cancelling meetings, saying she will send proof of payment and contract after 7 months hasn't happened (also telling me if I post anything she will reverse my money: which money - as I have nothing?
She has now promised to pay me for all 7 months which amounts to R80500
Every time I catch her out on her lies she gets mighty upset but still fails to come forth with everything that has been promised to me.
There is much more I could tell everyone, but I think this is enough for now. I do have proof of all her excuses and lies.
I want everyone to know how she operates and not to do business with her.
Part 2 - 12 Feb 2014:Just a update on my previous post.
Coralie stepped into a written and signed contract with me on 3 Nov promising me the following:
Tablet + phone + internet + landline with phone + antivirus + airtime (she would pay all this) (THE WEDDING DESIGN MAGAZINE WILL BE LIABLE FOR ALL EXSPENSES, AND WILL SUPPLY PETTY CASH FOR POSTAGE OF ALL MAGAZINES AS WELL AS ENVELOPES AND ANY OTHER NEEDED STATIONERY. ASWELL AS AN PETROL CARD FOR VENUE VISITS, ALSO EITHER A TABLET OR WEB CAM + COMPUTER UPGRADE + ANTIVIRUS. THE WEDDING DESIGN MAGAZINE WILL BE LIABLE FOR ALL INTERNET DATA + ADSL/WIFI MODEM TO COMMUNITATE VIA EMAIL WITH RELEVANT VENUES AS WELL AS LANDLINE AND PHONE FOR CALLS TO VENUES AND CORALIE AND CLIENTS.)
She would carry the costs for clothes, badges, shoes etc to look professional for clients (which she later promised a R8000 Woolworths voucher to cover this) (THE WEDDING DESIGN MAGAZINE WILL SUPPLY APPROPRIATE OUTFITS AND BADGES TO VISIT VENUE)
4 PAGE SPREAD FOR H&M EVENTS FOR ALL NEW ISSUES OF MAGAZINE AND BLOG EXPOSURE + FREE WEDDING EXPOS FOR H&M EVENTS TOGETHER WITH THE WEDDING DESIGN MAGAZINE– THE WEDDING DESIGN MAGAZINE WILL PAY EXPO FEES, ALL VENUE REGISTRATION PAYMENTS WILL BE PAID OUT WITHIN 24 HOURS, VENUE REGISTRATIONS VALID FOR 12 MONTHS- ALL VENUES MUST RE-REGISTER AGAIN FOR RELEVANT ISSUE AND YEAR OF PUBLICATION – R500 APPLICABLE AND PAYABLE TO MARYKE ENGELBRECTH FOR EVERY VENUE RE-REGISTRATION. MARYKE WILL BE THE ONLY ONE WORKING WITH THE VENUES.
Compensation will be paid on 20 Dec (till date I have not received the money, first she said it was R12000 then 3 x R15 000 payments which is just over half of what she actually owes me, today she went back to say its R12000), since we lost so much due to her. (COMPANSASION WILL BE PAID TO MARYKE ENGELBRECHT ON 20 DEC 2013 FOR THE PAST 7 MONTHS, AS AN AMOUNT AGREED TO BY BOTH.)
I was promised the following as she changed the work I should do to venues: VENUE REGISTRATION FEE – R500 PAYABLE TO MARYKE ENGELBRECHT FOR EACH VENUE TO BE SIGNED UP TO ADVERTISE WITH THE WEDDING DESIGN MAGAZINE. Since I did not have everything that is promised I could not do work. In order to get this.
Whenever she promised to send me a proof of payment for compensation (according to her I have been paid since Jan, however no monies are in my account) but she never did and would never give us contact details of anyone either.

- a tablet and phone on 23 Dec that is useless to me
- R700 for Telkom deposit
- R150 petrol money
However she has cancelled more times that I can count to collect or drop the rest of stuff. The moneywise the story keeps changing then she will bring cash, then she will send proof, then it’ll show after 12pm at night then she says after 9am then after 12am and the story keeps on changing and she doesn’t want to send me the proof. I have told her repeatedly I will only work if I have everything she promised me. But her stories keep on changing on a daily basis. I have bbm, mail etc proof of everything.
