Price changes and i was not informed

I signed up for an ADSL account in February 2011 for a service which at the time cost me R289 per month. In the past few days i decided to upgrade my account and enquire about the cost to do so. This is when i discovered that the product i was paying for was now cheaper - by almost 50%. The new price is now R149. I enquired about this & asked when the price change became effective & they told me it was back in July 2012. We are now in July 2013 so this means i have been paying R140 per month more than i should have. I asked them why i was not informed of this & they said that they published it on their site. But i am not obliged to look at their site and search for these things. I am the customer & they should inform me - not vice versa. They could have easily sent a mass-email to their database.

I have now asked for a refund/free internet for a year as the amount equates to R1680. They are refusing to do this. This is! I have paid almost double the price for the last year for this product. Dont do business with these deceitful people. They will change product pricing & not inform you because they want to keep charging you old rates. DECEIT, CONNIVING & UNDERHANDED!
