Flordis South Africa
Misleading advertisement

I draw your attention that Flordis Southern Cape (Pty) Ltd and Flordis Australia appear to be selling the same product, but giving out different messages. Flordis SA claims their product KeenMind an extract of Bocarpa monnieri enhances memory retention, recall, improves mental clarity, concentration and focus. It was mentioned at a meeting in my retirement village in October 2012. Prof Slough in Australia did their research. I started KeenMind on 3 Jan 2013. After 29 days my legs were so weak I used a crutch. My freckled hands were white, but felt boiling hot; also hot patches on my body. Internet research revealed that Flordis Australia issued warnings that people treated for thyroid deficiency, Beta and Calcium blockers to reduce blood pressure, were to do so with extreme caution. They could suffer muscular and other weaknesses and must only take KeenMind under a doctor's guidance. Without KeenMind I felt better, but today, 20 March, I have to use a stick as I'm not steady. I warn people of my age-group that this product can be dangerous for people on certain chronic medications. It appears pensioners must sue or rue as herbal medicines are not regulated. Can nothing be done?
