It is unfortunate that you feel this way and expressed yourself in the way you did. The person you refer to is a kind, well-mannered person and highly proffesional at her job. Over the years she has arranged many conferences for people of all races, gender and religion in the proffesional body of the proffesion I work in. She has never discriminated or shown any bias towards any person. Instead she has always gone the extra mile to accomodate each and every person in the group. Her English is flawless. I understand that she did not attend to your boyfriend's call and therefore did not treat you differently. The resort was fully booked, except for the rooms, given the fact that the period you enquired for is a long weekend. She was under pressure with telephones ringing constantly, with people like youself making last minute enquiries. The human mistake she made was not to ask whether a room would suffice instead of a chalet. Not in treating you "differently" because you did not sound "white". Giving a connectation to every incident is not conducive if you really are proudly South African. Also it shouldn't matter so much that you are dating a white male.
