Forbid you have sick wife or sister or family member in a ward at Gatesville Medical Centre. I have been trying for 3 days to get through to this hospital just to find out how my sister is doing, her husband made 15 calls from his work and eventually had to come home just so that he can check how his wife is doing... not on not for a private hospital like Gatesville Medical Centre... we all worry about that person whom we care about and appreciate being able to speak to the person be it over the telephone or face to face... I am very disappointed and think something should immediately be done at this hospital wrt their telephone answering policy... I had family members at Groote Schuur in the past but could always speak to the person over a public telephone or the nurses were always willing to help and give messages to our family... not like this private hospital where nobody cares.
