The 10th of January was the day that my family and I embarked on a trip to the Portuguese Islands which we had booked months ago. My husband and kids had been looking forward to visiting the paid for trip to the islands only to end up stuck in a ship to nowhere. If this is what I wanted I would have paid for it at a fraction of what we paid for the islands.
I am going to be lodging a formal complaint and demanding a portion of my money back. We did not get what we paid for and am so disappointed with MSC. The reason given was that the weather conditions were not good and when we went to find out the next day which had clear blue skies we were told "NO, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY TRIPS! "
Another huge let down was the food! There is just no standard, the food tasted like the chef had lost all inspiration. We ended up not even bothering to eat a full lunch as we just couldn't stand to eat the same sub-standard food for dinner as well. The breakfast was the only better option.
I am taking them up as I am certain the National Credit Act and the Consumer Protection Act has a protection and laid down recourse for such situations
