The accommodation was not acceptable. The drain was blocked and the smell was putrid, the shower went up to your ankles. The cot provided was VERY old and had spider webs in it.
The linen on the bed was so threadbare and incredibly old, there were no duvets or new fresh bedding.
Everything in this outside room was was poorer than poor and after not being able to sleep the first night we advised first thing the next morning we were leaving.
The room is on the main road which we were not made aware of and the noise levels unacceptable, there were also other guests that partied up until the early hours of the morning. we were led to believe this was a tranquil clean guest house. Mara asked us to look at one of the rooms inside which she did not recommend when i booked as we had a toddler and although my husband took a look, our experience of the first night was so awful and we were not interested. We paid for 3 nights upfront and even though the refund was agreed for the outstanding 2 nights, Mara is refusing to pay now and says we must come stay there. This cannot be legal. We need our money back. Be warned, the service is shocking and this guest house is filthy.
