I booked new year's eve dinner and dance at the indaba hotel for myself and 7 friends. At R500 per person we were expecting a quality evening but that wasn't what we got!
Firstly the vodka drinks we ordered tasted watered down. The dj was awful, we couldn't hear a word he was saying, his music choice was terrible and he couldn't actually dj but rather just selected music from his pc. The dancers were amateurish at best! The event was advertised as having a live band, instead we got a woman singing over a backing track quite badly. There wasn't enough food and the sushi we got was inedible. At midnight we were supposed to get champagne but our table didn't get. We asked the wait staff and they said we should find our waiter (nowhere to be found). We went to the bar and they said they ran out of glasses so we couldn't have. When we had coffee not only were dirty cups and spoons left lying around, there were no clean spoons so we stirred our coffee with a knife.
I sent a mail to the organiser on the evening and she has yet to respond. What a massive waste of time and money! I feel completely ripped off!!!
