On 21/11/2013 my hubby was admitted to the Union Hospital in Alberton. I was in the Union Caf? buying a juice for my 2 year old when she laid eyes on Prof. Goosen, and promptly told him that she was sick (she wasn't really sick!). He took the time to indulge her, asked where her mommy was and went on his knee to use his Stethoscope and listen to her chest for a minute, gave her a big hug and told her she would be better now. What a sweet man. I enquired who he was and was told he is Prof. Goosen, a trauma surgeon. This man is absolutely called to his profession, bless him.
I really think it is necessary to pay tribute to people like this.
