On 26 June 2013, I contacted Discovery Health. My situation was simple:
I was taking unpaid furlough, and
I wished to change my Discovery Health policy accordingly.
I spoke with consultant Liza Doyle. She told me that she would put me on the Key Core plan -- provisionally in the highest income band -- and I would receive a refund promptly when my paperwork was processed. As best I know, I supplied all the paperwork that was requested of me -- and re-sent.
Today is 3 November 2013. Discovery Health has continued to bill me as a highest income band earner, and I have not received the refund.
The facts of the matter are stunning. I have made 26 attempts via e-mail to solve the problem with Discovery Health, and have made more attempts per telephone. Discovery Health have sent me 17 e-mails. This is too vast to attempt a summary. I dealt with the following consultants: Fredericks, Bray, Seedat, Mahlangu, Weitz, Govender, Sayed, Chetty -- also The Team. I was issued with 10 reference numbers.
Discovery Health really need to stop the blizzard, and meet their commitments. I depend on this. I am on unpaid furlough.
