I could comment how they make money off the sickly, with their high prices, instead I'll focus on how badly the staff are treated - especially the non whites.
I went to visit my Mom, upon enterting the Hospital, I just heard screaming, wondered where it was coming from? Walked by the cafe and saw the Manager (assuming she's the manager, she's got dark auburn hair, have often seen her when visiting my Mom) screaming at the lady who packed the cokes, apparently they were facing the wrong way. I heard how the lady said something in Xhosa, only to have the Manager go off about not understanding Xhosa, and not speaking Xhosa in front of the shop, only English.
Going off at staff in front of a client, isn't good, but the way she spoke to the poor lady, goodness! I'd really hate to work there - I can understand being upset with an employee, but screaming at them?!
This is the main incident, I've experienced other times where staff have been screamed at.
My Mom is in Hospital often, but I won't support them, very poor for a coffee shop, especially in a Hospital!
