I was rushed to pretoria east hospital on 7 Oct, for a foot injury. First they took a xray of the wrong foot and the doctor claimed the results will be more or less the same. Then they gave me crutches, stop-pain and said i can leave. They didnt even give me a boot for support nor did they give me any anti-inflammatory for the swelling. two weeks later and my foot is still badly swollen and I dont have feeling in Two of my toes. Yesterday 16 Oct, I went back for a follow up, which then took 2hours to be seen to. I understand if they were busy but they were not, as I could see the Dr sitting by his computer on his cell phone, while I waited in the room. Then eventually another lady Dr walked into the room with her mouth full, she didnt even greet and asked so hows the foot. While i was trying to explain whats wrong she cuts me off and says go for a sonar. I was seated and waiting, The one lady behind the counter, shouted my name and called me with her finger, like im a dog. They told me I could make an appointment for the following week or sit and wait which could take 3hours. I explained I was from emergency and cant they fit me in, her response was no. They showed no sympathy.
