I had a 14H00 appointment for an ECG on a treadmill at Mediclinic Emfuleni today. I was told to be there at 13H30. I arrived on time and was told I needed to report to admissions to open a file.
I waited 40 minutes while the three ladies on duty told jokes, walked around, visited with a son who had bought a two litre coke & chips, etc. One of the ladies on duty even said to the visiting son "Is dit jy wat jou ma heeldag uit die werk hou".
After 40 minutes I returned to where the ECG was to be done and advised that I was not prepared to wait any longer. A sister there took me back to the admissions desk, and asked if they would be much longer. One of the ladies suddenly had my papers in her hand. I sat down to complete the process and remarked that I had been waiting 40 minutes. I was told in a very arrogant tone that there were 10 people ahead of me.
That is a blatant lie, there were 3. I advised the lady who was "helping" me that I had been sitting there watching them for the last 40 minutes while they walked around. She threw the papers on the desk and shouted "rondgeloop" I said yes, I have been watching. Her attitude was they don't need my money. I'll keep it then.
