EXPLOITATION OF PENSIONERS

I took my Dad, a pensioner, this morning to Intercare to have wax removed in both ears. I have specifically requested to see a sister but they have insisted that I consult a Doctor.
Dr Green took a look at his ears and informed us that he needs to take Cerumol eardrops for 4 days and then come back.
She wanted to write out a prescription and we have told her it is not necessary as one can purchase this over the counter but she insisted!
My Dad had to pay R320.00 for this consultation and he got NOTHING out of it. The container of the eardrops is very clear, put 5 drops in each ear for 5 - 30 minutes and the procedure can then be carried out.
I am sick op people and facilities exploiting the pensioners!
